Food Technical Sales Manager

Job Description

Middle East Food Ingredients (MEFI) is an agent for major international food specialty ingredients companies for the Levant, GCC countries and Egypt.

We are now recruiting a Food Technical Sales Manager to further develop our business in Egypt.
Location: Cairo, Egypt
Gender: Male

Main Purpose:
To develop and promote sales of food specialty ingredients and provide technical support to customers in Egypt.

Main Responsibilities:
1. Promote and generate sales to existing and new accounts in Egypt with the aim of achieving company sales targets and maximizing profitability.
2. Look for new sales opportunities and identify new potential customers.
3. Follow up with customers on all technical development projects related to existing food product applications and/or new product development by actively communicating with technical staff and organizing factory visits and onsite product trials.
4. Gather Knowledge of food ingredient competitors’ products, pricing and quality.
5. Develop regular contacts with customers’ commercial and technical staff.
6. Follow market trends and update the customers accordingly.

Skills

1. A degree in Food Technology/ Food Science/Food Chain Management/Food Science and Management or related fields.
2. A second degree in business related fields is a plus.
3. At least 5 years experience in the food industry in Egypt or aboard including a significant experience in R&D / Product Development position.
4. Good knowledge of food industry, products and processes.
5. Sales experience
6. Good knowledge of spoken and written English is a must.
7. Good computer skills: Excel, PowerPoint.
8. Excellent interpersonal, presentation and negotiating skills.
9. Responsible, motivated, outgoing, dynamic and organized.
10. Good time management skills.
