    General Manager

    Confidential Company - Dubai, UAE


    Job Description

    To successfully oversee the business, lead, establish the program & deliver on the strategic objectives set.To identify & develop bus. opportunities for increasing revenues & building relationships across the region & ensure optimal service delivery in terms of quality & efficiency for stakeholders.
    Duties:
    1.Planning
    • Collaborate with the board to define a communicative company’s vision & develop strategies for achieving that vision
    • Create annual operating plans to support strategic direction set by the board & correlate with annual operating budgets;submit annual plans to the board for approval.
    • Develop & monitor strategies for ensuring the long-term financial viability
    2.Management
    • Oversee business operations & manage its compliance with legal & regulatory requirements
    • Create & maintain procedures for implementing plans approved by the board
    • Promote a culture reflecting organization’s values, encourage good performance & reward productivity
    • Hire, manage & fire HR of the organization according to authorized personnel policies & procedures that fully conform to laws & regs
    • Ensure staff & board have sufficient & up-to-date information
    • Evaluate organization’s & staff’s performance on regular basis
    3.Financial management
    • Oversee staff in developing annual budgets that support operating plans & submit budgets for board approval
    • Manage organization’s resources within budget guidelines according to laws & regs
    • Ensure that staff practices all appropriate acc. procedures
    • Provide prompt, thorough & accurate info. to keep the board appropriately informed
    4.HR management
    • Company & Staff Recruitment & contracting
    • Employee development & training
    • Policy development & documentation
    • Employee relations
    • Performance management & improvement systems
    • Board of Directors, incl. arranging, attending & minuting meetings & agendas
    5.General Admin
    • Evaluate in-place systems & procedures;streamline where appropriate
    • Evaluate technology implementation & optimize within budget
    • Visit all branch offices & evaluate their needs, performance, personnel & cost-effectiveness
    • Evaluate & control all discretionary expenditures & implement new written policies
    • Review facilities & real estate issues, incl.a review of current lease reqs
    6.Merger & Acquisition
    • Complete 3 year pro forma, based on realistic assumptions, determine future valuation potential of company & likelihood of merger/acquisition potential
    • Identify which mergers, acquisitions, dispositions & investments make the most sense
    • Identify the growth issues regarding acquisitions, spin offs, expansion, downsizing, establishing new &/or closing existing branches
    • If decision is to sell the company, establish price & terms, subject to Board approval, prepare sales summary & develop game plan & methodology for sale
    • If Board decision is to dissolve company, develop game plan for liquidation
    7.Community Relationships
    • Serve as organization primary spokesperson & representative
    • Assure organization and its mission, programs & services are consistently presented in a strong, positive image to relevant stakeholders
    • Actively advocate for the organization, its beliefs & programmatic efforts
    • Act as a liaison between organization & community, building relationships with peer organizations when appropriate
    8.Programmatic Effectiveness
    • Oversee services design, delivery & quality
    • Stay up-to-date with current trends related to the organization products, services & anticipate future trends likely to have impact on its work
    • Collect & analyze evaluation info.that measures success of organization program efforts;refines/changes programs in response to that info
