Head of Human Resources (Automotive)

You have the ultimate responsibility for the full planning and set up within our client organisation from both an operational and strategic perspective. You shall take on this role in leading and establish the full framework in the HR function for the new business entity leading a team of specialists.
This is a senior role for 2 new businesses, you must have the experience in implementing HR practices and processes that will support the business strategy and reinforce the company culture in all HR areas, such as Compensation and Benefits, Performance Management, Talent Management, Training and Development, Recruitment Strategies, Employee and Labour Relations. Assessing performance and competencies within the organization thru the development and implement plans and tools that are necessary to achieve competency goals and ensure the senior staffs are well equipped to meet current and future challenge. You shall act as the face of HR for the company and be responsible for senior level decision making and strategic direction of the organisation.
Develop and implement an annual agenda for HR strategy in line with the business plan. Ensure HR plans support the needs of the business but are also flexible enough to cope with changes in the organisation, as and when they occur, Co-ordinate recruitment throughout the company through management of a recruitment team. Build the communication bridge with within our internal recruiters, draft briefs, set up interviews where necessary. Interview senior hires when necessary.
You have to ensure all policies and procedures are up to date and legally compliant and develop a succession plan for all departments to take over the future business running.

Capable communication skills, strong ability to handle complex and difficult situations with thought and confidence, you must have the right skills to deliver appropriate information to the right people, explain detailed legal information to senior management in a straightforward way.
Proven experience in managing Human Resources team and start up the department from fresh, prefer candidate from luxury automotive industries.
Can quickly establish credibility and respect and build strong working relationships with senior managers. Demonstrable maturity, professionalism and gravitas. Act as a role model for the organization looks beyond own team as a role model and source of knowledge. Works with others in a collaborative and solutions focused manner to achieve win-win outcomes.
Able to work to deadlines and adapt to changing conditions ability to generate effective and pragmatic solutions to new situations and problems as they are presented.
Demonstrate an understanding of personalities and behavioural styles in order to work collaboratively with a variety of people and to make informed decision around resourcing, reporting structures and relationships.
Confident in handling tight situations. Understanding of all legal implications and ability to resource plan accordingly and comply with legal obligations.
Strong working knowledge of employment law issues and the ability to apply these to a variety of situations using a pragmatic and common sense approach.
Commercial acumen - has a solid overall understanding in finances and uses this information to push back and support managers in resource and succession planning.
Able to problem solve both operational and strategic issues through a pragmatic and commercially sound approach.
Effectively plans ahead to anticipate problems, plans for worst-case and best-case scenarios.
Makes sensible, intelligent decisions in difficult and deadline driven situations. Excellent attention to detail.
