Our client is a successful lottery and sports betting operator, managing 18 national divisions across Africa and beyond. The company is fast growing, has doubled in size over the last 3 years, and has plans for further expansion. The company is globally recognised as a start-up specialist for gaming operations in emerging markets.

THE ROLE:

An excellent opportunity for a talented IT Professional, with man-management experience - who is looking for a challenging job in Africa

The role is to organise a busy IT Department: supervising data exchange with 15,000 EPOS Terminals - managing smooth draw procedures and data transfers - supporting Finance- and Sales-Department with data reports and data queries in Lagos / Nigeria


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Team Recruitment - training, briefing and supervision
• EPOS Network Management - supervising 24/7 data exchange with 15,000 Terminals
• Data Administration - analysis of data transfers
• Organisation - draw management and shift planning
• Reporting - on-going Liaison with IT Operations-, and Finance-Management

Skills

a) Will be educated to degree level, have a background in: IT Operations, ideally EPOS Network Management, with at least three to four years' man-management experience
b) Will be an IT Expert (Microsoft SQL Server Administration / Windows Server Applications) with proven operational management skills.
c) Will be an independent thinker, a quick learner, motivator, and have good problem-solving skills.
d) Will have proven experience in team recruitment, training / briefing and supervision.
e) Will have a proven record as department leader / manager.


Desirable but not essential skills:

a) Will have working experience in emerging market environments.
b) Will have retail experience
c) Bilingual: English / French
