Logistics Specialist

Job Description

Warehousing:

-Handle planning, administration and general issues for the warehouse

-Manage, monitor and report the warehouse performance in all areas

Inventory:
-Design & document all SOP’s related to inventory transactions

-Evaluate the health and effectiveness of the inventory in all locations

-Plan and meet cycle and physical count auditing requirements quarterly and annually with improved results through problem identification and analysis

-Feedback results of analysis and hands-on experience to improve inventory system performance

-Auditing specific areas to ensure proactive attitude identifying areas needing improvements

-Report out to management when there is a dangerous inventory situation

-Ensure that the inventory cycle is properly maintained through tight/ close monitoring

Skills

Education & experience :

-Bachelor’s degree

-5+ years experience in handling inventories/stocks

-Prior experience in large storage operations

-Prior experience in a leadership role

-Working knowledge of WMS & inventory systems

-Strong understanding of the supply chain principles

-Demonstrated knowledge of industry practices and current trends.

Skills:

-Strong computer skills, ERP experience is preferable

-Detail oriented with strong communication, managerial, planning and project management skills

-Ability to mediate differences of opinions and facilitate resolution when conflicts arise

-Ability to participate in cross-functional initiatives and projects.
