    Job Description

    Defines, develops and sets up proper operations base through contacts internally, with forwarding companies, clearing agents, insurance, warehousing facilities and in land transportation services.Plans and monitors goods’ receiving and on time deliveries from landing ports and airports to the warehouses, sites and stores.Validates information supplied by the Regional Operations department in order to guarantee proper operations’ start-up.Manages allocated budget and expenditures in order to optimize and reduce costs where possible and reports variances versus budget to ensure effective cost management.Checks and signs any Logistics charges invoiced from third parties. Constantly evaluate and optimizes the Logistics network in order to ensure best value Logistics services are provided to the business.Monitors quality, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods, periodically compares and benchmarks rates between different Logistics providers and updates the regional office in terms of freight, customs clearing, insurance and warehousing, distribution, relation with suppliers.Develops the business by analysing logistical problems, producing new solutions and preparing any supply chain simulation including cost comparison related to new brands.Resolves usual problems, suggests solutions for critical Logistics problems in favour of the operation and ensures current Logistics policies and procedures are in compliance.:

    Skills

    University degree in Business Administration. 3 to 5 years relevant experience, preferably in an international operating environment.Strong professional Logistics knowledge and expertise.Strong understanding of supply chain systems, procedures and standards.Thorough knowledge of relevant local import, export, clearance, transportation and warehousing laws, regulations and methods.Good operational planning skills.Good problem solving and people management skills.Good communication skills.Well developed interpersonal, negotiation and report writing skills.Good command of English and locally required language skills.:
