Job Description

Participate in the section HSE meetings.
Provide the needed maintenance expertise for the plant maintenance and workshop teams.
Specify maintenance strategy to be implemented for each of the plant instrument & ensure feeding it to the related maintenance system ( such as ORACLE or SAP)
Regularly review and update the maintenance procedures & PMs instruction to ensure high plant availability and reliability.
Support the operation in troubleshooting & determining the trouble roots causes.
Assess the plant defects & recommend repair guidelines.
Participate in investigating the plant safety and reliability incidents & determine the remedy actions.
Occasionally inspect the special repairs to ensure the repair quality.
Provide advises to improve the maintenance KPIs.
Inspect the capital spares as they are received & sign the required acceptance forms.
Issue spare parts specifications & keep developing them to up-to-date technology.
Conducting technical sessions to keep enhancing the team collective knowledge.
Participate in evaluating the performance of the 3rd party contractors related to his field.
Provides input to the annual Machinery maintenance budget for each plant in conjunction with all concerned parties including the relevant plant manager.
Provides input to the capital planning budget taking into account improvement opportunities and end of life replacement requirements.
As required, attend management meetings & engineering committees.
Participates in Emergency Response and Command activities as required.
Participates in (and sometimes leads) safety audits in the plants.
Carries out other similar or related duties as assigned by management.

Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
More than 4 years’ experience in maintenance of equipment at mineral processing industries/Iron & steel/bulk material handling/cement or similar industries will be preferred.
Computer literate/PC application. Knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
Good experience in Condition Monitoring will be an advantage.
Fluency in written/spoken English (Arabic is an asset).
Experience in the Middle East is an asset.
