    Job Description

    Key Tasks & Duties:

     Develop proposals for the implementation of Government Directives regarding development, building and safety regulations within the Division.
     Assess and develop the quality assurance requirements for all functions and activities within the Division for the entire AWPR site, and develop strategies for implementation and engagement of AWPR staff, Contractors and Service Providers.
     Liaise with government agencies in ensuring that the team is up to date with the latest UAE laws specifically governing development, building and health and safety, corporate compliance and any other laws that may apply in the managing of the AWPR Sites.
     Review and Prepare certification/re-certification for the AWPR with international, regional and local bodies for quality assurance and occupational safety
     Develop and Review mobilisation requirements for the commencement of all work carried out by the team, Service Providers and Contractors not limited to but including, work permits, building permits and any required licenses to carry out work at the AWPR.
     Routinely carry out performance audits across all sections to ensure that policies and procedures are in place and being adhered to.
     Manage budgets and disbursements for quality assurance and compliance activities for AWPR.
     Routinely review method statements and risk assessments for the carrying out of any construction, maintenance or infrastructural work to ensure that AWPR safety and compliance criteria are met and provide authorisation for works
     Prepare a variety of technical reports and analyses for presentation to management
     Ensure organisational QA/QC procedures are followed for each site and project

    Skills

    • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Equivalent
    • International QA/QC Certification not limited to and including NEBOSH
    • 10 years experience in quality control within construction and engineering environment
    • Understanding of UAE Laws and regulations related to Quality Control and Safety
    • Knowledge of various Engineering Safety Procedures and systems
    • Ability to use Microsoft Packages to prepare various reports and presentation
    • People Management skills
