Market Intelligence Analyst

Job Description

•Develop,consolidate and communicate market insight to the AME community ( focussing particularly on key countries within frontier markets)
•Analyse, research and develop insights about growers, influencers, channels for key markets within frontier markets
•Design & commission relevant market research for key markets in frontier markets based on knowledge gaps
•Work with Territory Crop teams and CU customer marketing to align TCMP drivers and assumptions
•Coordinate the data assimilation process, focusing on frontier markets planning segments, for Smartplan
•Market drivers identification, their tracking and projection of future development and implications for the Territory, focussing on frontier markets primarily
•Work closely with stakeholders ( both at the territory and CU level) to identify relevant data sources as well as communicate insights in a simple and consistent manner
•Identification of available information and subsequent analysis to improve short-term planning (SOP)
•Interacting with the Territory Crop Teams to understand information needs and assist in mid term planning (SmartPlan)
•Maintain a repository of market, customer and competitor information as part of the AME Market Intelligence website

Skills

• Bachelor's degree required, preferred disciplines : Business, Marketing, Economics, Engineering or related field.
•Good knowledge of English and French, Arabic knowledge is desired
•Strong writing skills for working with distributed, multi-cultural teams
•Experience in preparing strategy and/or market briefing reports
•Availability to spend a period of 2 to 3 months working in Basel before being based in Algeria.
