    Planning & Cost Control Engineers (Lebanon/Basra)

    Job Description

    -The Planning Engineer develops the most appropriate method and sequence of construction activities, in conjunction with the Site Manager, in order to ensure the project is completed timely, safely, & on budget.
    -Schedules, plans and oversees the entire program of work.
    -Plans, organizes, and coordinates planning activities.
    -Selects the most appropriate techniques and logical sequence of activities to complete project scope
    -Determines appropriate logistics solution and resources
    -Set up issue alerts for all important contractual and milestone dates
    -Prepares cash flow, charts & histograms on planning projects
    -Verify critical path and interfaces between design/ engineering/ procurement / execution
    -Monitors progress periodically and compares it with the baseline planning
    -Updates the schedule based on inputs received from project team
    -Prepares Progress reports
    -Accumulates, collects and analyses data and information required for planning
    -Reports to Project Manager and Head of Planning
    -Assists planning manager in planning, scheduling & monitoring projects assigned to him
    -Actively involve Project team in daily planning activities, look ahead programs and progress reporting
    -Participates in project review meetings for tracking project progress


    -The Cost Controller duties include issuing monthly project cost report, monitoring the project productivity on weekly basis, managing the project budget, and forecasting cost at completion based on current project trends.
    -Reviews and analyzes projects’ estimated budget and schedules to establish the cost control criteria applicable for each project.
    -Establishes with Project Manager and Financial Department the cost performance standards to be adopted in the cost control operation.
    -Reviews the CMIS procedures and relates those applicable to each particular project in order to establish efficient and effective cost control.
    -Reviews and analyzes cost element reports from the various projects and routes them to the concerned Heads of Department.
    -Monitors the project performance for comparison of actual resource expenditures versus approved budgeted figures and reports overruns to the Site Contract Administrator.
    -Generates the Interim Payment Certificate conforming to the approved budget and routes it to the Financial Department
    -Suggests the corrective measures to mitigate the cost, and keeps the completion dates constant.

    Skills

    Planning Engineer:
    -Good communication skills and fluency in English
    -BS degree in Civil Engineering.
    -Minimum 4 years of work experience
    -Minimum 2 years experience on planning
    -Competence in primavera P3.1 or P6 and Microsoft Project
    -Competence in use of MS Office applications

    Cost Control Engineer :
    -BS degree in Civil Engineering
    -Minimum 5 years of work experience.
    -Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    -Excellent Problem-solving and Analytical skills.
    -Computer Literate
