Planning Engineers

Job Description

Job Function:
• To provide a planning/scheduling service (in accordance with contract execution procedures) to both project and corporate management for home office and external (i.e. field) activities.
• Understand all relevant documentation pertaining to the project including scope of work, conditions of contract, project execution plan, project schedule, etc.
• Work within standard project planning/scheduling procedures.
• Ensure that these procedures comply with contractual reporting requirements and, if not, modify accordingly.
• Prepare activity plans to accomplish all work required by the procedures.
• Timely preparation and issue of but not limited to the following
1. Overall project schedule
2. Man hour/manpower histograms
3. Critical equipment lists/schedules
4. Progress’s’ curves and tabulations and cash flow
5. Short term look a head schedules
6. Weekly/monthly progress report including narrative
• Candidate must be responsible and willing to participate as a member of the team, conscientious, methodical and prepared to adhere to corporate standards and procedures.
• Willing to communicate with the group and other disciplines to ensure the smooth running of the project.

Skills

• BSc. Degree in Engineering. (civil/architecture)
• Primavera (P6) and MS Project experience Pre-Requisite.
• 5-10 years project planning experience and good knowledge of project costing and conditions of contract.
• Proficiency in communicating( both written& oral ) in English language
