Presales / design engineer - Structured cabling

Job Description

Superior Technologies is a vendor-representative office with distribution facility providing end-to-end structured cabling products in Dubai since 2001. Our current vacancy is for a technical engineer with presales / design experience, who will take care of all technical aspects of our structured cabling products. The nature of this role is mostly about providing pre-sales and post-sales technical support information to integrators, with almost no involvement in the actual installation phase. In nutshell, the presales engineer will be responsible for:

- Providing primarily pre-sales and post-sales technical support

- Working on designs and projects estimation and BOM optimization

- Positioning & specifying the product/brand into assigned end-user accounts, projects & consultants

- Planning activities/strategies & working in close cooperation with the Sales Manager

- Delivering technical/Solution pre-sales presentations to end-user, channel partners and consultants

- Developing and implementing plans for emerging technologies & specific sectors

- Handling product development, customization and sourcing for special requirements.

Skills

- 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably with a system integrator or consultant

- Familiarity with Telecom companies’ wiring guidelines, such as Etisalat and Du

- Familiarity with consultants / end users approval and submittal procedures.

- Solid technical background in structured cabling and its technologies, such as CAT6, Fiber, best design practices, …

- Ability to multi-task, take initiative and work under little or no supervision

- Objective-driven, team player and positive outlook
