    GENERAL RESPONSABILITIES
    Under the supervision of the General Manager and the Deputy General Manager the Procurement Manager is responsible for all procurement activities related to sourcing and management of specialty and commodity materials. He is also responsible for the implementation of supplier management programs, supply chain management and contract management. The Procurement Manager has to maintain the balance of inventory within budget means, direct and develop the purchasing department and the policies to the procurement process.

    SUMMARY OF THE PROCUREMENT MANAGER JOB DUTIES

    •Oversee and lead purchasing activities, implement procurement initiatives, and improve current processes and departmental procedures.
    •Responsible for the purchasing process such as plans, organizes and controls the purchase activities of Aluminum, Glass, Steel, Wood etc. from local and foreign sources in order to achieve the set targets.
    •Negotiates contracts and agreements and improves supplier payment terms.
    •Have regular interaction with suppliers in order to get better offer from them.
    •Proposes, recommends, authorizes Purchase Order’s, and verifies deliveries and invoices of the Purchase orders.
    •Recommends procedures and guidelines for assigned procurement projects.
    •Ensure timely supply of right quality and quantity of material within the estimated cost and schedule time frame.
    •Develops and Maintains data bases in order to track procurement activities.
    •Coordinate with Finance Department for opening of L/C, timely payments, retirements of L/C and other allied matters.
    •Monitoring and reporting the progress of work to the Deputy General Manager.
    •Regular interaction with Project Manager to update him about the project’s purchase activity progress.
    •Responsible for overseeing tasks in the warehouse.
    •Plans, organizes and coordinates day to day operations of the warehouse.
    •Ensures that adequate stocks of supplies are maintained.
    •Trains and supervises employees at the warehouse.
    •Other duties as assigned.

    Skills

    BS degree in Civil Engineering
    MS degree in Civil Engineering is a plus
