Job Description
The Role
Working at our prestigious Bakery operation; the Bakery Production Manager to ensure all Bakery products are manufactured to fulfill internal customer requirements and ensure all necessary resources are available and utilized in a safe and efficient manner to meet the customer expectations. Will be responsible for the production of our key bakery products in terms of quality and quantity to agreed financial and budgetary targets. You will be an experienced bakery production manager with a demonstrable career path of achievements within a large volume bakery environment. Efficiency is pivotal to this role as you will not only be responsible for the timely production of our product range but also responsible for managing the materials and manpower requirements. Reporting directly to the Plant manager and managing a team of multinational workers.
Areas of responsibilities (AOR)
Optimise Bakery product quality to ensure that products meet laid down product specifications.
Maximises service to internal customers to meet the Budget of Bakery production plan.
Co-ordinate all necessary training of staff to ensure that all activities are conducted in a safe and efficient manner.
Optimize product yield and wastage to maximse the contribution of profitability in the dept. line operations.
Ensure that localization target numbers are achieved for the department

Skills

Formal Educational Qualification up to Bachelors Level or Diploma
Experience
5 years experience in a similar position in an FMCG environment
Working knowledge in ISO 9000 quality standards / ISO 22000:2005 Food Safety
Experience in the production of Bakery Products referred
Skills
Computer literate to the level of handling the ability of developing own reporting packages and spread sheets.
Ability to lead and manage multinational work force
