The Pearl Gas to Liquids (GTL) project includes the development of offshore natural gas resources in Qatar’s North Field. Upstream, natural gas will be produced, transported and processed to produce 120,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day of condensate, liquefied petroleum gas and ethane. Downstream, dry gas will be used as feedstock to produce 140,000 barrels per day of clean, high quality GTL fuels and products.

We’re currently looking to recruit a Project Engineer.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the delivery of assigned future projects (plant changes and minor projects) for the Pearl GTL production facilities. You will take on all project management responsibilities for assigned projects from the ‘Assess’ till ‘Execution’ phase, including hand-over to Operations. In doing this, you will manage engineering and construction execution contractors. Implementation of projects is executed in close co-operation with the Project Discipline Engineers working in the same projects department.

You will be responsible for co-developing and implementing the Organisation Readiness plan for the Pearl GTL Asset Projects team. You will contribute to the preparation and implemention of Engineering Management Systems related to projects and the Management of Change as a sub-set of the systems developed for the Engineering section, aimed at establishing and achieving Flawless delivery of small/medium size Projects and Plant Changes.

Skills

You will have a University degree in Engineering with proven experience in project engineering in the Petrochemical industry. You will have experience in managing opportunities/projects both in the pre-FID stage (Assess/Select/Define) and post-FID (Execution) stage. Experience in managing engineering contractors would be an advanatge.
