    Job Description

    Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

    • Oversees construction works of projects in accordance with the contract specifications, client’s instructions, work procedures approved drawings and method statements.
    • Controls project’s cost, time, scope and quality.
    • Handles all changes as instructed by the owner and coordinates with relevant AEB concerned parties for required implementation.
    • Reports to GM-CSD of any changes which may have time and cost implications on the project.
    • Monitors project resources and highlights deficiencies.
    • Monitors all productivity related activities of contractors’ staff, labour and plant on site.
    • Monitor work is carried out in accordance with contract documents and highlight any problems to the concerned parties.
    • Monitors and directs the quality assurance and quality control for work to be carried out as per project’s contract quality requirement.
    • Monitors master program and tracks critical paths and milestone for identifying them to contractor.
    • Ensures minutes of meetings are taken down for follow-up actions.
    • Follow-up of material submission, approval and procurement schedules.
    • Directs Quantity Surveyors in monthly evaluations.
    • Prepares monthly reports.
    • Approve, controls and monitors safety plans.
    • Conducts on-going review of contract requirements as new instructions or documents are received from Client. Identifies appropriate staff to carry out detailed reviews.
    • Liaises with sub-consultants, if any, to ensure all progressive works are well co-ordinated.
    • Ensures appropriate documents distribution among site team and follow up for the required actions by each site staff.
    • Upgrade the site team skills and prepare them for higher levels of responsibilities.
    • Ensure acceptable performance of site team and report to GM-CSD on the same.

    Functional Relationships
    Internal:
    • Confers or consults with GM-Construction Supervision Dept., project controllers and other departments to formulate policies and programs and/or arrive jointly at decisions, conclusions, or solutions.
    • Provides directions to all the staff in project team for the specific project.

    External:
    • Play key role in contractor relationships and monitors site work carried out by the contractor.
    • Liaises with government agencies as and when required.
    • Manages client relationship and passes the feedback / requirements from clients to top management.

    Experience / Qualification

    • Degree in Engineering ; a Certificate in Project Management as an additional qualification;
    • At least 5 - 7 years of experience in the construction industry, including exposure to ‘tower’ structures of which at least 3 - 5 years as a project manager in an engineering consulting firm.
