Job Description

POSITION SCOPE

The Quality Engineer is responsible to the QA/Verification Manager for overseeing the quality activities on the Project. The Quality Engineer will provide support to the project delivery through the implementation of quality principles and techniques

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership

Provide advice and guidance to the project personnel on matters of quality and compliance assurance and control.
Coordinate and monitor quality performance on the project.
Provide support to the quality inspection resources.

Health and Safety

Promote a high level of HSE behaviour.
Build and maintain a culture of personal HSE accountability within the project team.

Project Execution

Carry out the specific QA/QC activities as detailed in the Project Quality Plans and Procedures.
Maintain Project Management System Framework and associated development activities.
Perform quality surveillance activities & audits in accordance with the Project Audit and Review Schedule.
Support quality inspection personnel to identify and achieve quality requirements.
Support procurement personnel in the supply of major packages, including, input to orders, kick off meetings and delivery.
Coordinate resolution of the Independent Verification Body queries and collate associated records.
Coordinate regulatory compliance assurance in accordance with the Project Permits and Consents Plan, Specifications, Designs and National and International Standards.
Facilitate the implementation and coordinate project completion process.
Promote and support Asset Integrity Assurance.

Commercial

To be aware of commercial requirements of the Project
Provide performance data as requested for reporting purposes

Taking the business forward

Identify and promote the use of best practice.
Identify and recommend improvements to the Quality Management System.

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

Experience of building and maintaining a culture of personal HSE
Ability to support personnel to identify and achieve quality requirements

Skills

CSWIP
Experience in Oil sector.

Education

Bachelors Degree
