Job Description

KEO International Consultants is a highly ranked and award winning planning, architecture, engineering and project and construction management firm with offices in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Bahrain, Dubai, Jordan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within KEO’s Project Management and Construction Management (PM/CM) Division as a Senior Civil Engineer - Roads and Geotechnical. You will serve as a technical representative on roads, earthwork and geotechnical related issues, field inspection disputes, quality management observation and document review. You will be part of the project management team during infrastructure construction phase of a large 9,000 unit master planned community in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Skills

Preference will be given to qualified candidates who can demonstrate experience in the following:

• Ability to advise the Project Management team and Client on technical issues regarding the interface with utility agencies, contractual compliance and quality standards.
• Demonstrated knowledge of geotechnical investigation standards, earthworks and road construction means, methods and codes.
• Ability to oversee and comment on the Construction Supervisory review inspection on behalf of the Project Management team.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written.
• Mature relationship building skills.
Qualification:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering or other related discipline. A minimum of 15 years experience in geotechnical / road design including investigations and construction supervision is required.

Previous experience gained within a Consultancy would be beneficial, whilst prior experience in the Gulf Region is advantageous.
