Senior Dealer, FX Trading Desk

Job Description

Senior Dealer FX Desk is responsible for overall budget targets for FX Trading Desk. He is responsible for managing FX exposure within the pre-assigned FX risk limits. He is required to provide competitive rates to Treasury Sales Desk for customer transactions. Candidates applying must have experience in areas including the following:

Budget Targets:

•Develop business plan for FX Desk to achieve FX Desk budget.

•Provides overall guidance and support to subordinates to enable them achieve their targets and objectives.

•Creates synergy in team so that every dealer is working to achieve overall FX desk targets.


Operational Management:

•Trades in currencies and supervises the management of currency nostros.

•Manages FX exposure within approved Risk limits.

•Supervises the activities and operations within the FX Desk.

•Ensures that the bank notes are monitored and used in the branches based on the bank limit without keeping any high balances in the branches.

Risk Limits / Management:

•Ensures that traders work within their assigned dealer limits and with approved counter-parties.

•Ensures that dealers meet the internal risk limits and regulatory requirements.

•Ensures adequate controls are in place and operating effectively to mitigate the risks in FX Desk, treasury.

Support Business growth:

•Provides and offers competitive FX prices on all major currencies to Treasury Sales Desk and to all the branches on timely basis.

•Ensures that subordinates takes care of the Bank’s client requirements across various trading times.

•Read and write English and Arabic fluently.

•Computer literate.

•Excellent communicator at all levels.

•Ability to work efficiently in a pressurised environment.

Education

University Educated- Bachelor Degree Holder
