Job Description
Major Responsibilities:
• Proactively work with the project team in a collaborative manner to: provide thought leadership; ensure that all voices are represented; enhance the quality and creativity of ideas; and to ensure successful delivery of projects
• Actively participate in: the formulation & implementation of strategy; the development of operational & organizational capabilities; and the delivery of high value solutions for clients from concept to turnkey delivery
• Assist in the development of proposals and work as an integral team member on client engagements
• Interview key stakeholders to obtain insights and document points of view
• Conduct efficient, accurate, meaningful and in-depth: quantitative, market, industry, financial, economic, technical and qualitative analyses and draw well-integrated conclusions and insights from these analyses
• Identify creative and useful additional analyses required and suggest new paradigms for recommendations
• Develop market studies, business plans and viability & feasibility studies
• Structure the operating models for the businesses
• Define the organization structures and all of the OD elements required to incubate/enhance a business
• Craft, refine and monitor implementation plans and schedules
• Develop and re-engineer policies, processes and procedures
• Formulate governance structures
• Develop the necessary tools to track and monitor business ventures
• Develop performance metrics and monitor KPIs
• Assist in managing ongoing related projects and relationships
• Leverage functional/industry expertise (especially related to Energy & Utilities)
• Define the work plan and action steps for specific tasks assigned and manage against the work plan
Skills
Qualifications:
• Advanced degree such as: MBA, JD, and/or Engineering Degree from leading university
• Strong knowledge of the Energy and Utility sector
• 5-20 years of industry experience (Oil & Gas; Chemical & Petrochemical; Power & Water; and Mining)
• Prior management consulting experience with a leading management consulting firm
• Strong analytical skills both quantitative and qualitative
• Good communication skills both written and oral and demonstrable skills in presenting information effectively
• Strong intellectual curiosity
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, knowledge of Access is a plus
• Excellent inter-personal skills and experience of interacting at senior management levels
• Ability to produce high quality, effective and thorough deliverables with minimum support
• Results driven outcome focused individual who demonstrates a positive can-do attitude
• A self-starter and highly driven individual with a real desire to develop and learn
• Excellent English
• Arabic a plus
