Job Description

The Brand:
From our base in Kuwait, we support all areas of our retail and warehouse operations. At the close of each trading day, all sales figures and stock movements are downloaded to our head office and to our partners via our secure state-of-the-art IT system. Careful analysis allows the correct decisions to be taken for each individual business unit. EPOS technology is installed in every outlet in each country, and a web enabled communications network is in place. Each international brand has its own dedicated management team to service their particular requirements.

The Role:
This role will be responsible for the integration of the company systems to the website, delivery of E-Commerce solution within the business

Responsibilities:
- To provide line management of the web development team, to include full responsibility for the recruitment and retention of staff
- Management of on-going and new developments in relation to the company website and intranet
- Development and management of website system
- To create secure data transfer between web and internal systems
- Design, develop and implement database interfaces using MySQL and  Oracle technologies and support e-business development
- Train staff to use all new development and applications identifying time constraints, gathering the resources and conveying needs and requirements
- To operationally transfer knowhow and management of website to application management team within IT Operations and then to provide Third level support to application management team.
- Reporting to Director EGroup on a regular basis, detailing current development status and forth coming developments

Skills

- Proven development and management of enterprise level e-commerce sites including back-end systems integration
- Experience in leading a web development team
- Preferred experienced and knowledge of Magento platform / technologies
-  In-depth knowledge of web development technologies to include PHP, HTML, Java Script etc.
- Strong database knowledge specifically MySQL and Oracle
- Excellent communication skills
