Job Description

On behalf of an international petroleum company we are seeking a Senior Petrophysicist for their Bahrain office.
Supports Reservoir Management Team by providing them with petrophysical reservoir descriptions log analyses, and studies. Planning, preparing, and execution of logging jobs. Responsible for the quality control of the raw and computed data. Participates in peer reviews and helps with completion interval selection. Is aware of and recommends new technologies as needed.

Petrophysical Log Analysis
- Accurate and timely analysis of any logs acquired by the Reservoir Management Team.
- Responsible for quality control of the log data and also the quality of the complete services provided by the vendor
- Responsible for identifying problems and coming up with solutions for both operational and evaluation services Petrophysical Studies
- Responsible for developing and maintaining petrophysical models of key zones
- Applies petrophysical technologies to deliver petrophysical parameters to be used in the geologic and dynamic models Technology
- Applies and keeps-up-to date on logging and perforating technologies and associated technology transfer Safety
- Ensures that contractors perform their operations to the highest safety standards
- Makes sure everyone involved follows radioactive and explosive safety policy Contractor Coordination
- Holds service quality review meetings with contractor
- Ensures that all petrophysical services are delivered to location and office when needed
- Schedules equipment for optimum usage Team Member
- Establishes effective relationships and ensures success in day-to-day interface within the Reservoir Management Team.

Skills

- College or higher degree in an engineering discipline
- 5 to 10 years of experience in exploration and production with specific petrophysical experience
- Broad knowledge of petrophysical processes
- Experience working with petrophysical software
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Good computer skills
- Effective in a multi-discipline team environment -creative
