    Job Description

    Overall Summary

    Basic and detailed Engineering of Electrical Power Systems for a wide variety of industrial projects like Petrochemical plants, Oil & Gas plants, Petroleum Refineries, Bulk plants, Offshore Platforms and Rigs etc.
    Preparation of Layouts, Routings, Engineering Specifications, design calculations and analysis for various Electrical Systems and Equipment. Review of technical documents & drawings. Preparation of material and engineering cost estimates for Bids. Carryout site survey and prepare reports. Preparation of RFQ, Material Purchase Requisition and Technical Evaluation of vendor’s offer. Interaction with Clients, Sub-Contractors and Vendors to resolve technical matters arising in the implementation and execution of Project.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    It is the responsibility of each individual to familiarize himself with all safety rules & regulations, attend required safety trainings & to participate in the required safety programs (STOP, ASA, Risk Assessment etc.).

     Design and Detailed Engineering of Medium and Low Voltage Systems.
     Carry out Basic Engineering Calculations, Equipment Sizing Calculations and analysis.
     Perform Electrical system study using ETAP / EDSA / CYME Software.
     Generate One Line Diagram, Layouts, Schedules, Routings, Distribution Schemes, Motor Control Schemes, Inter-connection Diagrams for Power, Lighting and Grounding system.
     Check drawing and documents prepared by Designer / Draftsman for technical correctness.
     Carry out Inspection & Testing of Various Electrical Equipment at Manufacturer’s Factory.
     Conversant with IEC, NEC, BS and IEEE Codes & Standards pertaining to Electrical System.

    Experience:


    Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in Basic, Detailed and Construction Engineering of Electrical Power Systems for Offshore Platform, Pipeline projects, Petrochemical and Oil and gas plants.

    Experience in preparation of Material Specifications, Design Calculations, SLD, Layouts, Cable Schedules, Inter-connection Diagrams etc. Review of Technical Documents & Drawings. Preparation of Material Estimates for Bids. Preparation of RFQ, Material Purchase Requisition and Technical Evaluation of Vendor’s offer.

    Skills

    Conversant with IEC, NEC, BS and IEEE Codes & Standards pertaining to Electrical System.
    Perform Electrical system study using EDSA Software.
    Able to accept responsibility and work independently
