SHIFT FOREMAN - FOR STEEL TUBE MILL

Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities:

Plan & prepare job activity schedules in order that manpower is effectively matched to operational requirements to ensure timely completion of jobs.
Implement the production plan in respective shifts as per agreed company procedures and standards in order to achieve the quality and quantity targets.
Implement the delivery plan in respective shifts as per agreed procedures in order to achieve the supply targets.
Implement the agreed company policies & procedures for the plant operations in order to achieve agreed productivity, efficiency and safety targets.
Inform the Factory Manager regarding production problems occurring in their shifts in order to reduce losses.
Coordinate with internal maintenance department during respective shifts in order to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
Manage staff in respective shifts in order to maintain discipline & improved productivity.
Attention to detail for quality control and minimum rejection levels.
Implement the cleaning plan in the plant during respective shifts to achieve a clean & hygienic plant as per agreed standards.

Skills

Diploma in steel tube milling technology, with extensive on the job training (graduate in mechanical engineering preferred)
Should have an experience of minimum 4 years as assistant miller / miller in steel mill of similar capacity.
Requires strong leadership qualities, communication & interpersonal skills.
Requires well developed planning & organizing skills & the ability to perform well under pressure.
Should have knowledge about computer applications e.g. word, excel, oracle etc.
In-depth knowledge and understanding of on site operating and safety proceedures and standards.
Ability to work both as part of a team and independently, on own initiative
Problem solving skills and Decision making skills

Also looking for technical skills -
Heavy equipment operators - OET Cranes and Forklifts.
Driver with drivers license for heavy vehicle - UAE licence 3 and 4
