Job Description

• Manages the issue of Permit to Work and ensure that all aspects of the safety requirements had been adequately factored and that necessary records, permits and licenses are verified.
• Reviews all Risk Assessments and Method Statements prior to work commencement and propose suitable measures to reduce risks for works carried out on site.
• Reviews Engineering drawings and calculations to ensure safety aspects were adequately factored (Temporary structures, excavations, building modifications, etc)
• Inspects work sites and review the Safety aspects of Civil and Architecture works to ensure compliance to necessary Building Regulatory Standards, NFPA Fire Codes and OSHA Safety Guidelines and if shortcomings were observed, recommends measures to be adopted to meet required standards.
• Inspects FM term contractor’s maintenance works & work flows (Mechanical, Electrical & Fire Protection systems) and if shortcomings were observed, recommends measures to be adopted to meet required standards.
• Provide necessary Technical Investigation Reports for Safety process failures, accidents & incidents including proposed corrective and improvement measures
• Provides necessary training support in the OSHA 10hrs Training Module implementation
• Coordinate on site in matters related to Emergencies as safety coordinator.
• Plan and coordinate the annual building evacuations drills and FM table top exercises.
• Assist in monitoring of the Fire Protection systems inspection as required.
• Assist in QHSE Campaigns and Programmes as required.
• Assist in QHSE Audits as required
• Participate in Monthly QHSE Meetings including sharing/presenting key observations.
• Carries out any other duties as delegated by the Safety & Security Manager

Skills

• Recognize Engineering Degree
• Registered Safety Officer
• Licensed Engineer
• Minimum 5 Years Engineering Experience (FM Industry)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office & AutoCAD applications
