Solutions Architect

Job Description

Job Purpose :

Assist the sales team through pre-sale support by designing technical solutions for managed services and co-location based on customer requirements and provides architecture support for the post sales implementation process for designed solution.

Principal Accountabilities/Key Results Area :

The Solutions Architect (SA) provides Technical Solution advice to both new and existing customers on new sales opportunities which encompass Solution Designs that suit the defined hardware, budgetary requirements and present this solution to customer. Primary responsibility of the team is to assist the Sales Account Managers in achieving financial target by qualifying and addressing prospect’s technical requirements and architecting state-of-the-art technical solutions that meet the customer budget & technical requirement.

Accountabilities
1- Prepare technical architecture documents and bill of quantity for customers and provide cost estimates for prior analysis and assessments.
2- Work closely with sales team and ensure architecture of technical solutions keeping in mind customer budget and value for money and agree for solution delivery time in order to meet targets.
3- Directly lead high potential pre-sales engagement with the sales team.
4- Coordinate with domain experts, Project Manager, Implementation team, Operations team or vendors while designing solutions to ensure that solutions are aligned to project plans and requirements.
5- Interact with customer and prepare presentations as required to understand customer requirements and translate the understanding to creative solutions.
6- Ensure the provisioning of solutions that suit the defined technical service and budgetary requirements.
7- Ensure to document standard solutions to enable the department to meet customer expectations in the most efficient and time saving manner.


Minimum Qualification:


Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering, Masters Degree is an advantage
Experience: 5+ years technical pre-sales experience in a similar capacity
Experience in Enterprise Infrastructure Architecture Design.
ITIL Certification is a major advantage.
Previous experience in a service provider/hosting/managed services provider in a similar capacity is a major advantage.
Up-to-date technology certifications.

Skills

Job Specific Skills:

Technically hands-on on a broad set of hosting, Data Center, and infrastructure technologies.
2- Previous Hosting, DC Services, and Infrastructure managed services experience in a similar capacity is a major advantage.
3- Enterprise Architecture & Design experience.
4- Data Center technologies knowledge and experience.
5- Expert in the sizing and solution designing tools.
6- Excellent knowledge of current networking technologies.
7- Excellent knowledge on Data Centers, HW, Security, Backup, Storage, Database, Operating Systems technologies.
8- DR Technologies & Concepts
