About the Role:


This position reports to refrigeration managerand the main purpose of the role is to supervise the Reefer Yard operations and the maintenance and breakdown repair of reefer containers at the Jebel Ali Container Terminal thus ensuring smooth flow of port operations.

Key accountabilities will include:

*  To oversee the repair, maintenance and monitoring of operations to ensure the safe storage of 3rd party reefer containers at the Jebel Ali Terminal.
*  To verify the DP World and 3rd party client's procedures and standards of service are met and ensures the workload is planned, delegated and completed efficiently.
*  To advises, instructs and update reefer staff on the right working practices and procedures during implementation of any new procedures and practices.
* To monitor the use of tools, equipment, spare parts and consumables and ascertain they are stored, maintained and used in the correct manner.
* Liaising with the Container Terminal Operations Department and 3rd party clients in relation to Reefer Yard operation and spare part availability.
* To oversee the Reefer administrative functions are performed efficiently and the service delivery to 3rd party clients meets the expected requirements.
* To administer the compilation and submittal of the necessary reports and documentation
* and ensure their accurate and timely delivery as required by DP World and by 3rd party clients.
* To verify the safe storage and maintenance of quality records and documents as required by DP World and 3rd party clients.
* To maintain safety and hygiene practices of all reefer operation work areas including thereefer yard areas and reefer container stacking facilities and ensure all practices are incompliance to DP World safety standards.

Skills

Experience & Qualifications:
In order to give credible support to the organisation and be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have the following experience, skills and qualifications:

Qualifications
*  Essential - Diploma in Refrigeration Engineering or equivalent
*  Desirable - Higher diploma/Bachelors degree in engineering

Skills and Experience
* Minimum 10 years as a qualified refrigeration service engineer. Minimum 5 years experience in
the service and repair of refrigerated containers. (Reefers) 2 years experience as chargehand
or foreman
