    Team Leader Production Engineer

    Job Description

    Leads a production team in line with objectives in quantity, quality, cost and deadlines, in respect of People and Customers He ensures the implementation of the 1st level of maintenance by the members of his team. He enforces the safety and environment standards for his team.

    Roles
    Leadership
    • Conducts daily team meetings.
    • Checks the right communication and enforcement of work instructions in his team.
    • Communicates regularly, collectively and individually on the results obtained, the safety rules, the potential risks in the working area.
    • Leads a multidisciplinary team or a work group.
    • Gives instructions and provide guidance.
    • Identifies strengths and improvement points during the shift.
    • Adapts one's communication based on the audience.
    Management and leadership
    • Develops talents within his teams.
    • Develops autonomy and create development opportunities for each team member.
    • Involves teams in the decision-making process.
    • Takes part in recruiting within his working area.
    • Conducts annual assessments.
    • Proposes the annual training plan.
    • Identifies weaknesses and define cross-training requirements within his area.

    Conduct of production machines
    • Knows all the machines on its perimeter (key points and nominal performance).
    • Contributes to the industrialization process.

    Monitoring of production
    • Monitor and ensure the production schedule within its area.
    • Optimize, if necessary, the production schedule within its area after analyzing the impacts of his decisions.
    • Identify and analyze the bottlenecks within its area.
    • Optimize available resources within his area.

    Monitoring of performance
    • Analyzes performance indicators and gaps to the objectives in his perimeter.
    • Contributes to the action plan design to reach the performance objectives for his perimeter.
    • Motivates his teams to reach performance objectives in his perimeter

    Application of standards
    • Performs the necessary checks to ensure the production standards are applied within his perimeter.
    • Sets the relevant actions to come back to the production standards
    • Formalize standards based on audit results and deviation analysis.

    Continuous improvement
    • Ensure daily continuous improvement motivation within the team.
    • Motivate operators to be proactive in detecting and reporting the problems they meet.
    • Introduces and explains to his team continuous improvement methodology elements (Progress Way Program+, 5 “Why”).
    • Understands the overall principles of a project life cycle.
    • Knows the appropriate tools and methods.
    • Participates to brainstorming sessions to find new solutions.

    Team work
    • Creates constructive and positive team spirit to reach the team objectives
    • Creates opportunities to develop the autonomy of the team
    • Warms the next shift about specific points to check.
    • Makes sure the performance is kept stable during and after the shift change-over.
    Audit
    • Defines, design and lead the audit forms for a process or a procedure
    • Audits the process QSE, 5S, visual managemen

    Skills

    Years of experience from 3 to 7 years in production environment

    Educational level:
    Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering, Industrial engineering, electromechanical engineer or any equivalent degree - Business studies are plus
