Technical Architects - Designer/Architect - Senior Architect

Job Description

• developing design briefs and translating ideas into client presentations
• generating CAD schematic design, design development, construction documents, and shop level drawings is a must
• Coordination between all disciplines of the project
• Detailing skills is a must
• Rhino 3D models for production is a plus
• Generating 3D models and rendering for visualizations/movies
• Liaising with suppliers and monitoring fabrication is a plus
• High level of drawing and set coordination internally and with sub-consultants is a must

Skills

• Minimum five years of relevant and proven industry experience in Kuwait is a must
• English language spoken and written fluently is a must - Arabic is a plus
• Medium to advanced Rhino 3D modeling skills is a plus
• excellent 3D rendering on 3Dstudio Max
• excellent CS5 skills is a must
• excellent CAD technical skills and drafting - Details oriented is a must
• good knowledge of materials and fabrication/building processes
• an understanding of current lighting technologies and lighting fabrication is a plus
• a strong sense of aesthetics and a critical eye to materiality is a must
• experience of working and communicating directly with manufacturers to develop products from design concept to manufacture is a plus
• evidence in the CV of technical detailing
• model making skills is a plus
• good knowledge of Excel, Outlook, Word and operating windows is a must
• ability to be self-directed and highly motivated with a hands-on energetic approach under pressure
• be a clear confident communicator with internal and external people at all levels
• highly efficient, ability to think creatively and work to tight deadlines
• attention to detail and critical thinking throughout the design process
• flexibility and an ability to manage multiple projects at one time under tight deadlines
• travelling for installations and supplier visits, including working outside of usual office hours is a plus
• excellent time management skills
