Telephone Operator (Part time) Morning Shift from 8am - 4pm

Job Description

Responsibilities & duties:
• Operates a switchboard or telephone console to route incoming calls and place outgoing calls.
• Examines credentials of persons desiring entrance to restricted areas. Arranges visit authorizations for employees and others to gain access to restricted areas.
• Monitors compound premises with closed circuit TV system to protect property and personnel
against tire, theft, vandalism, illegal entry and other hazards.
• Responds to emergencies according to written instructions.
• Reports suspicious or unusual occurrences and coordinates and operates with security department.
• Reports emergencies such as crash, tire, aircraft. medical, hazardous waste, terrorist incursions, and other emergencies to security department and/or appropriate governmental agencies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills

Typical Experience & Education:

- Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- Must have excellent verbal English language skills.
- Must have a clear speaking voice.
- Little or no prior knowledge of the job.
- Requires a basic understanding of general office concepts, practices, and procedures.
- 0-2 Years of experience.
