This blended learning course uses a combination of video and slide pre-course material and a five-day face-to-face course to deliver the maximum amount of content in a short time to meet the needs of busy executives.

The pre-course material will give you a thorough ‘across the top’ understanding of the theory of project management principles, practice and techniques.

The five-day course will complement the pre-course material by adding a practical dimension which will allow you to contribute effectively, and immediately, in the project environment.

The course content aligns with the principles of project management as defined in the PMBOK® Guide of the internationally respected Project Management Institute. The PMBOK® Guide is an integral component of the study material.

Instructor(s):	Professor Alan Patching Consultant Australia Professor Alan Patching of Australia is Managing Director of Alan Patching and Associates Pty Limited and Principal of the Australian Academy of Leadership and Project Management. A quantity surveyor by initial qualification, he launched his first PM business after 14 years of quantity surveying, project scheduling and project management experience with the Queensland Government. He has personally managed or directed (in equivalent 2009 dollars) over 20 billion of projects across a wide range of industries. Alan Patching is probably best known for his leadership role in the development of the Sydney Olympic Stadium and his membership of the Venues Coordination Committee for the Sydney Olympic Games. He was Project Director of the Olympic construction and pre-Olympic operations of the Stadium which (then) president of the IOC, Juan-Antonio Samaranch called “the most fantastic Stadium I have seen in my life”. He was also CEO of the public entity, which owned the Stadium. Professor Patching has consulted to many leading organisations over a stellar forty-year career. As well as his projects specific qualifications and credentials, he holds several qualifications in the field of psychotherapy, thus making him the ideal professional presenter on the full range of PMBOK subjects. Few in the world can match his mix of technical projects experience, understanding of human behaviour and mastery of public presenting. Patching is the author of several books and audio programs and numerous papers and e-books on subjects ranging from leadership and motivation to marketing, management and project management. He is the author and video presenter of the Bond University Professional Certificate in Project Management. All public or in-house presentations of this course will be undertaken by Professor Patching, by his experienced colleagues from Bond University, or by specialists assessed and approved by Professor Patching and Bond University for the task.
