Compliance Administrative Officer – Curtin


About the role   


The Compliance Administrative Officer will play a vital role in supporting the International Compliance Manager by assisting in application screening for Global Curtin. The primary objective is to ensure the prompt processing of high-quality Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) applications while also aiming to enhance conversion rates. The role also encompasses various other compliance-related responsibilities as delegated by the International Compliance Manager.


Key Responsibilities


  • Act as the first and primary point of contact for GTE checks for Curtin.
  • Responsible for all Genuine Temporary Entrant documentation preparation.
  • Counsel students and parents on GTE requirements and help students prepare required documentation and visa interview.
  • Guide each visa applicant for the proper documentation in order to maximize his/her visa possibility.
  • Educate students about the importance of compliance with immigration regulations and the potential consequences of non-compliance.
  • Conduct screening checks and interviews for all applications from all agents to ensure that only quality applications are processed.
  • Update the status for each student from the application and submission up to visa approval/refusal.
  • Prepare GTE reports required for the International Compliance Manager, ensure compliance, update policies, and provide suggestions to improve GTE assessment.
  • Conduct student interviews as part of the GTE and  compliance assessments.
  • Check the documents for their accuracy and authenticity.
  • Stay updated on the latest immigration policies, procedures, and requirements to ensure accurate and up-to-date guidance for students.

 Job requirements


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated relevant knowledge and  work experience in education industry.
  • Thorough understanding of visa regulations and requirements, particularly the GTE process.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and precision when handling documentation and records.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Sensitivity to cultural differences and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service to a diverse range of clients.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Previous experience in compliance within the higher education sector and visa assessment is advantage.
