Program Description:
The Qatar 2022 Supreme Committee (Q22SC) has committed to delivering a “carbon-neutral” 2022 FIFA World Cup TM Qatar as well as leaving a sustainable legacy that supports the four pillars of the Qatar National Vision 2030: Human Development, Social Development, Economic Development and Environmental Development. The Delivery Programme’s Sustainability Team (“Sustainability Team”) will have the responsibility to support the delivery of these commitments by integrating sustainability into all aspects of the programme management framework and managing the sustainability activities throughout the life of the programme.
The small size of the Sustainability Team will require that all team members be very flexible and willing to take on new challenges and assume responsibility for an evolving scope of work. Each member of the Sustainability Team will be expected to take ownership of one or more of the key responsibilities listed below, and support the other team members in the overall effort.
The Delivery Programme’s Sustainability Team will coordinate with the sustainability resources of the project management team(s), planning team(s), design team(s), construction team(s), and operations team(s) for each of the many projects that make up the programme. Development and implement the overall sustainability strategy for the 2022 FIFA World Cup TM Qatar Programme to ensure a sustainable legacy
Develop and implement the carbon management strategy to achieve a “Carbon-Neutral” tournament
Manage programme and project specific feasibility studies or site plans to ensure the overall success of the sustainability strategy
Manage the sustainability aspects of the programmes Performance Management Framework including the development of the programme level and project specific sustainability requirements (Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Progress Indicators (PIs), Targets)
Monitor & report on programme level KPIs and the project specific KPIs and PIs (supported by the project teams)

The Halcrow Urban Water team deals with a range of public and private sector clients and provides specialist technical advisory and project management services on water industry projects in the Middle East . Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be responsible for the delivery of wastewater projects and will, therefore, have extensive experience in design review and project management of major wastewater projects. You will play a key role in the development of new business as well as the tender preparation process; the ability to provide technical and commercial / contractual input is critical. As the interface between key stakeholders, which include the Client and various Government Departments, excellent communication, negotiating and influencing skills are essential. Both English and Arabic language skills are key to this role. Due to the nature and locations of the projects, travel is a major component of the role and, therefore, applicants must be willing to spend regular periods away from their home base.

An opportunity has arisen for a multi-disciplined engineer to join the Honeywell PAS (Process Automation System) Maintenance Team at the Qatar Shell GTL site. The team is a dynamic, multi-disciplined team responsible for ensuring the integrity and operational availability of the Process Automation System.

The team covers all aspects of preventative and corrective maintenance, DCS configuration troubleshooting through to supporting plant modification projects, commissioning activities and plant startup.

The team is an integrated part of the Qatar Shell GTL asset team and as such, the candidate will need to feel comfortable in interacting with the client and have good written and oral communication skills.

The Qatar Shell GTL site requires individuals to be able to manage a high workload, in a high pressure environment whilst maintaining focus on priorities and carrying out work in a safe and controlled manner.

The position is a site based position (5 days per week) at the Qatar Shell GTL site in Ras Laffan Industrial City, State of Qatar. This is a local hire position and not rotational.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Perform routine/complex preventative maintenance work and/or corrective activities for all system components that comprise the PAS (Process Automation System).
• Definition, design, and implementation of PM scope.
• Deploy latest system software, patches and updates (including Honeywell On and Off Process Migrations)
• Deploy latest security and antivirus updates across the PAS.
• Identify and contribute, where relevant, to hands-on training of other PAS Maintenance Team members.
• Understand and adhere to the ‘management of change’ (MoC) process.
• Responsible for all activities pertaining to the requesting, accepting and closing of permits to work (inclusive of performing risk assessment and site impact analysis, peer reviews ensuring the necessary approvals and controls are in place before work proceeds and that the implementers are aware of the limits and restrictions of permits)
• Raise the necessary SR’s with the relevant Honeywell Technical Assistance Centre and follow issues through to resolution.
• Escalate any SR issues considered to have either a serious impact or political impact to the System Custodian immediately.
• Maintain pro-active relationship with customer.
• Take part in an on-call rota to support the operational availability of the PAS out of normal working hours.
• Support site start-up and commissioning activities working closely with operations.
