This survey, conducted by Bayt.com and research partner YouGov seeks to understand the attitudes of those who have recently graduated towards jobs search in this region. This research gauges fresh graduate's perceptions regarding the Middle East and North Africa job market and what they want from their careers.
Data for the Bayt.com “Fresh Graduates in the Middle East and North Africa Workplace” survey was collected from recent graduates aged over 18, from August 22 – September 17, 2012, with 3706 respondents covering more than 12 countries in the MENA region.
Survey Highlights:
- • 74% of fresh graduates in the region claim to have not received any help from their university to either identify or apply for a job.
- • Seven out of ten graduates (68%) have entrepreneurial desires, with 43% of these being confident in their business idea. The majority (88%) wish to pursue further education.
- • For job search, a majority, 70% fresh graduates say online job portals are their number one go-to option.
