SCOPE OF WORK
1. Responsible for all inspections and documentation required to ensure each pipe processed complies with specific contract/procedures /purchase order requirements.
2. To ensure traceability of the pipe is maintained throughout operations and pipe movement.

MAIN DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES
1. Perform quality inspection in accordance with the specified procedures and requirements.
2. Read and understand Customer /APCO inspection requirements.
3. Record accurately and diligently all inspection measurements and results obtained.
4. Ensure traceability of all items from load in to load out.
5. Authority to reject items not in conformance with the relevant specification/customers requirements
6. Operate and maintain with care, all inspection instruments and equipment and be responsible for their proper handling and safekeeping.
7. Communicate with production operators/foreman on inspection measurements obtained to ensure effective process control.
8. Communicate problems encountered with QC Foreman
9. Liaise with Third party Inspector
10. Verification pipe stencil marking is correct.
11. Ensure that requirements for Environmental, Health and Safety are complied with

The Quality Control & Quality Assurance (QC/QA) Engineer will create, prepare and implement the QC/QA plan and any associated and relevant directives and instructions needed to support the plan. The main duties will be to develop and manage the quality control and quality assurance procedures and ensure contracts for the rehabilitation of the roads are up to the specifications.

Responsibilities :
- Supervise construction works contracts including quantity measurement, quality, variation and payments;
- Ensure that contractors comply with works’ specifications;
- Establish and maintain procedures to develop standard documentation for construction works and quality control and assurance
- for the projects;
- Review the existing standard documentation for the Operations Centre and propose any improvements deemed necessary;
- Develop standard quality control procedures to be performed by the contractors;
- Develop a procedure to establish norms to define the project-alternatives that will be evaluated for each construction task.
- Preferably many project-alternatives should be evaluated for each construction task, but, as a minimum, two project alternatives
- must be evaluated;
- Develop and conduct robust procedures for quality assurance;
- Assess work activities for which labour based construction methods are appropriate and for those sections where heavy
- machinery is appropriate;
- Review of the Bill of Quantities and the contract documents for each section of the construction task.
