Hi Mohammed,

Good evening. In my opinion, None of the data is authentic till you will verify it very carefully using statistical techniques (but after validation also data can't be100% accurate but it will be more than90%). Since primary data collection is done by conducting survey by interviewing subject. As researcher could not be physically present during survey there is no certainty that data will be authentic. Also, in secondary data many of the time the data is filled by personnel of the company so there is possibility of biasness. But, if I do have to select the between two data then I would select primary data. Since in primary data being researcher I have liberty of drafting questioner and by carefully drafting questioner I can improve the authenticity of the data as well as control biasness of the data. But, again it subject to what are the resources are available like time, fund, manpower and  expected accuracy which impact on the selection of data type as well as research methods.
