It goes something like what Mother Teresa said, "Unless life is lived for others, it is not worthwhile". My life is worth living and enjoyable because of the people  I am surrounded by. Helping others reverses the feeling of depression, and decreases the feeling of isolation and hostility that can cause stress. So, once we establish a good working relationship or friendship or some sort of positive bonding among our co-workers, we feel more alive and it can strengthen our will to work.
