If urgent works, I communicate with my team members.

  1. For one-off situations, especially a last-minute urgency where you need all staff present, make the announcement as early as possible so that staff can relay the message home.
  2. Again for one-off situations request for volunteers if you do not need everyone on the job - it would give you a good idea on who will actually be reliable in a crisis situation.
  3. I would talk about the need to work late and offer compensation (if affordable) accordingly if this would be a continuing trend.
  4. If this is going to be regular then I better start looking to hire additional staff as I would be trying their patience and may be lose a few good people in the bargain.

In fact I will not...unless if there is necessity ...and must make them love to do it .

A first thing a good manager has to learn is time management, but there are times that we may need to do so, yet still if the manager is organized, will let them know in advance, so the employees understand the necessity and be prepared for such occasion.

If a particular task cannot wait for tomorrow I'll not hesitate in asking my employee to complete the task before leaving for the day. If required I'll stay back to help the employee finish earlier

First thing, I need to decide whether the work can wait or not, if not,  I would inform the team of the upcoming urgent situation so they will be aware of it and can manage their personal matters later on. And I would pick the efficient staff members so they can get the job done as fast as possible and compensate them accordingly.
