Thank you Lubna for your valuable question ,I think manuscripts written by hand sometimes formally needed for security reasons when the style of the hand writing can be used to give high level of trust as if like the signature of the writer.
At present by the most advance technical digital instruments ,the slight differences between many manuscripts written by different people can easily be found out and this attitude can give exclusive support for crime investigations and obtains substantial results, so in some circumstances manuscripts written by hand is very important .
Thank you Best regards

We can use it as Ali Harin mentioned above and in many other situations.
As general, there is no problem to use hand-written manuscripts where document & data control requirements met.
In Health and Life businesses...most of the Doctors prescribe medicine manually and it is NORMALLY bad written...or slightly readable.
The pharmacy person MUST be accurate to READ and understand and that is usually happens that HE is serving at a pharmacy that is LINKED with the DOCTOR.
Here chances of mistake do exist.
Change of doctor or change of pharmacy person may lead to deliver WRONG medicine that may kill even.
Sometimes and somewhere, this may be only one option and it should be done under strict rules to ensure accuracy.

Question is a little bit tricky, therefore I'll try to give it an answer to my understanding: A software called Lotus Notes exists and any message may be put in it, usually scanned.
I know paperless office is an usual target nowadays, however situations when written format is mandatory does exist.
Such situations are related to legal validity conditions - when written form is required by the law - and backup/security reasons, due to the vulnerability of IT systems.
Else, electronic formats are satisfying office needs.
Oh, I've forgotten: Sometimes, large format documents are difficult and annoying to be red on the computer, since their formatting gives us only two choices, either to zoom them up and have consequently just a small part of them on screen, or to leave them as they are and to have small pots instead of letters.
In such situations written formats are also desirable.
I hope my considerations are useful and linked to the intended topics.

We can use hand written internal mails if a computer is not readily available and the message is somewhat urgent. Just make sure that the handwritting is legible, address and send the manuscript directly to the person it is intended for.

Dear Madam, “You longed to do ‘joined-up writing,’ as we used to call the cursive hand when we were young… I looked forward to the ability to join one letter to another as a mark of huge sophistication.
Adult handwriting was unreadable, true, but perhaps that was its point.”
