I strongly believe that the most difficult aspects of being a logistics manager are the following:

-   The communication with various agents and associates that are involved in the transportation process,

-   Having the total landed costs of a freight from the begining,

-   The security of the products during transportation,

-   The adequate space of storing the products in the warehouse,

-   The delivery time of the orders in the warehouse,

-   The supervision of the stuff on a daily basis.

I believe that the most difficult issues of being in a Logistics roles are:

 

1.     Finding a local agent you can trust

2.     Getting a full list of fees upfront

3.     Communicating via Email

4.     Paying attention to the Weather

5.     Being Flexible

6.     Be Aware of Border Issues

7.     Consider Charter Flights

8.     Making sure your freight will be secure

9.     Keeping in touch with each other

Most difficult is to manage when fleet qty is less then Total Number of Vehicles you need.

You have to mange your Dispatches/Shipments with available resources.
