Throughout my career I've been practising something which I personally believe would enrich after sales services such as I used to get the customer's opinion - what they think about my product ? their suggestions to improve the product.....I think this will make them feel valued and engaged with my brand and this is what help us to build a lasting relationship. You cannot won the battle without them. Your customer will be your protector if they care about you !!! Convinced them to share their pain point with you. And off course they will let you know the drawbacks/limitations/bad experience with your products. So, keep in touch with them even if you don't have any sales call with them. You can invite them for a coffee and try to get closer. Your competitors are not sitting idle so at any time, anywhere, anyhow they will snatch your customers even those who are loyal to you. The more you keep in touch with them the more you will get their feedback which will let you consistently improve your product and establish a good brand image in the market.....so its all about take care of your customer .... they will feed you!!!
Actually before you think about after sales service, i prefer to be sure of our products quality then the confidence comes in when you are making the transaction. During the transaction, a relationship which has to last for a really long time is developed between us and the client and from there the after sales service actually has to keep the bond tight hence more sales coming in.
