Mahmoud Hassan
by Mahmoud Hassan , Senior Risk Engineer , Arabia Insurance Company

Depends on your interview stage. If you still in the first stage and the interviewer is a Recruitment Specialist (Doesn't have Engineering Qualifications), make your answer exciting and clarify it with simple example. If your interview at advanced stage with an Engineering Specialist give him a scientific clear answer. E.g. If the interviewer is asking you about Beam (Structure) In the first stage your answer would be free of Pure Engineering Expressions such as bending moment and shear stress..etc . Just make your answer contains80 % for a non-specialist and the other20% for an Engineering Specialist. In advanced stage, do your best to answer by Pure Engineering Expressions and connect it with practical life and Engineering theories Implementation on Practical Life At both cases .. Be100% self confident

There are two main aspect of interviews, the1st one is with HR where they ask you about academics, general and behaviour based question. If you are short listed then you have to for second round which comprise of technical questions. We don't have fixed pattern for such questions but usually the technical heads  assess candidates on the basics theory, fundamental concepts and its alignment with contemporary practises. You should ask the role for which you are interviewed. Do research a bit before going for an interview. You may take help from social media and other similar role which could help you too some extent.  Best of luck!
