My answer is D. revenue "minus" expenses.

Profit talks primarily about the main line of its business activity. Income reflects the total earning of the entity whether from business or non-business activity. Revenue less expenses is equal to profit. Income is generally broader than revenue because it covers all the activity (business and non-business) while revenue reflects only the main line of business activity.
