My answer for this question, definitely will be in one word which is "Mechtronics".
Mobile Technology -plain and simple. Globally people are adapting to mobile technology faster, while eCommerce grows in the mobile industry YoY with no sign of stopping. Someday mobile will slow as it becomes a part of another technology, but in most of our lifetime mobile will be the most important piece of technology today. The argument can be made that Social Technology is important, but if you look at the platforms social technology emmerges on, and the area's social companies are investing, nothing strays too far from the pathway Mobile alows them to be on.
Information Technology because it is applied in almost every sector for various purpose such as education, manufacturing, transactions, commerce, agriculture, mining, aviation, medicine etc where a human being benefits from its use.
