What should one do when recruiters offer a salary after the interview, then call back the next day to offer a lower salary and aplogize for it?

They offered a salary i negotiate it to raise it, and they offered less the next day!!! demotivating?!!

Very unprofessional, and this would generate some kind of suspicion in me. I would definitely have to research the company more meticulously. Ask the HR questions as to why the drop, try to speak with current and former employees about the company to ascertain if it was a Human error or a sign of a bad work place.
