my point is to identify problems and be proactive with the solution..
Actually, any new malware or virus is difficult to predict nor evaluate on what damage/payload it is capable of...the best way to handle it is simple, install an Antivirus with heuristic capability so that even if it's signature is new at least it is detected right away and maybe you can prevent further damage to a system.
Virus/Malware and Antivirus is a cat and mouse game...leave it to the expert, E.g. ESET, Trend Micro, Symantec etc.
