Technology has definitely made an impact on students ,allowing greater collaboration in most parts of the world . However many parts of the world are still way behind with regards to high speed data which inhibits the free flow of information . South Africa is an example of a country with fiber optic backbones that are still too slow because the infrastructure is not being implemented correctly. Having the technology is great , but having expensive technology that is not working as per its true performance is a disappointment . Why buy a V8 engine vehicle when you only drivekm per hour .

The technologies in calssrooms such as: smartboards and the laptops are making a big difference than teaching without using any technologies. And we can see that a lot of the universities are using different types of technologu to tech the students in a best way to make them understand the lectures.

With devices like iPads for example, students are no longer confined to a computer lab. As soon as an assignment is available students can work on it inside their classroom, at home, while waiting on the bus, in between classes, etc. Mobile classroom technology can bridge the gap between classroom and home learning.
