dear friend each job role is different from the other
the required qualifications for a production engineer differs from maintenance and from sales.
if you want sales you need to have great communication skills and presentation skills and to convince the customer of your product the technical skills comes after.
as maintenance engineer you technical skills is more important but still you need soft skills and customer service skills because your job role require direct contact with the end user.
for the production you need to focus on your design skills and technical skills electronic/electrical/mechanical skills. you still need soft skills to be able to communicate will with other team members but you don't have direct contact with the customers most of the time.
so to summarize you need to work on your skills (especially the weak ones) in the roles that you most like. if you like sales work on presentation and sales quotations etc. production work on design programs and problem solving skills.
