What are some of the best technologies I can use to help me grow my email list as a website?

Hi dear, I dont know where you host your website and then which are the PRIVACY rule your are refer to! In fact first of all don't forget people's privacy, it mean DON'T absolutely get around email of people that have not give their consensus !!! If you do this, you can get in many issues:

- many time DNS server manager put around the web some Honeypot where they insert fake email. When you try to use these email sending Marketing content the DNS get the alert and put your server in SPAM blacklist then the consequence as you can understand. 

- moreover, if people have not give back his/her consensus, it is quite easy to understand that they will be bored by you Marketing email and then they will not endorse your website positively 

So then, how get consistently and really useful email. The rule is simple "GIVE TO RECEIVE"1- provide in your website useful info and people will subscribe. I guess you have a SUBSCRIPTION form2- provide documentation pdf,doc etc... that are useful for your customers and then ask just they email subscription in order they could download that doc. "Donwload by giving email" 

3- make some offers, discount of your services asking to subscribe to your site.Offer will always get the attention4- Distribute coupon on social network (not necessary facebook) but chose the best social network for your kind of client; it will attract the right people to your site. FACEBOOK IS NOT A GOLD MINE except for the zuck... guy :-) 5- Make partnership with website which has the complementary services of your. Making this you make a CROSS-MARKETING and then ask to share mail list of client which will be interested in your services. 

---- BUT if finally you just want in any case, just a big list of mail, than you can also buy for few money some list online (yes it is not different from get email around in "black way", but take care what I said.Hope it is helpfull.Raf

You can easily grow you email list by doing following these things.

1. Put 'pop up' on your website every page. when visitor going to leave your website, it appears immediately for optin their email id. e.g (bounce exhange, Ninja Popups)

2. Landing pages specific for lead generation. Give away something useful and get their email ids. for this purpose you can use Leadpages.

3. Get emails from Facebook by using any technology that support gathering emails from facebook newsfeed e.g (bleupage, heyo)

4. Get emails from Facebook Tabs, by putting your website landing page there. there are lot of free services for facebook tab creation.

5. Put email capturing gadget in your blog or website sidebar.

6. In blog posts you can offer free download with email capturing.
