A lot of websites provide special tools for the purpose which differ for every website, some on the other hand just ask you to enter your information and create one fully formated for you.Theeasiest way is to attach a preformatted Curriculm vitae to the online account if the website provides one.

It's not as much as marketing your CV as much as marketing yourself, building a good online reputation eventually lead to more people checking you out whither for background information or for career peritonitis.Useing online business social networks is very important, having a webpage alone won't pay off.

if you are just applying on the internet. all websites have their own forms just be accurate while filling it.

but if you are making a CV to send it by mail or even to be printed you can use these tips:

be accurate.

  1. use short sentences and accurate.
  2. in education field start with the highest degree, write the graduation date or at least the year.
  3. in experiences field start with the current or latest job, write the job description (what you really do), write a2-3 lines summary about the company or the organization.
  4. don't write useless phrases.
  5. make sure your contacts are OK.

about the formatting:

  1. don't use page boarders
  2. dont put the whole CV in tabels. use tables when it is only needed.
  3. use formal fonts like Ariel, Calibri, etc
  4. for font size titles size never over16 pt and phrases and paragraph10-11 pt.
  5. you can use shading, Bold or Italic formats to high light important words or phrases.
  6. finally categorize your information all education and training together, work experiences together, and personal information together.
  7. finally after editing and formating your CV save it as word. if you are going to send it to recruitment agency you shall send it as word, (they make changes any way on the CV) but if you will send it directly to the employer you can use PDF format.

I hope my answer was useful.
